MTV returns to its roots in HD!

The hidef version of MTV is a return to its roots: It only shows music, music of all varieties, from concerts, music videos, storytellers, unplugged, and the like. But as with the original MTV, it is probably only a matter of time before their HD version gets filled up with reality shows, real world #5040, celebrity worship and celebrity-wannabe shows...

But for now, you can enjoy music in HD on MHD!

Cyber Monday is coming up!

Online retailers are trying to create an online equivalent of Black Friday by setting forth the Monday after Black Friday as "Cyber Monday". They will offer various good to great deals, a lot of them around lunch time, targetting office workers taking their lunch breaks in front of the computer. Since there are different times zones, there will probably be various deals.

Gay Election Recap!

This was a great election for gay causes!!! Why???

  • Homophobe #1 Rick Santorum (probably another Ted Haggard ultra-deep-closet case hiding behind a wife and half a dozen kids), was voted out of the Senate by a big big big margin, 60-40. He lost to a very low-key opponent whose biggest asset was being the son of a very popular governor in PA. Goodbye Rick Santorum! I hope you enjoy the word created to honor your bigotry! Or just search for "santorum" on Google and click on the first link :-0 ***WARNING*** Graphic depiction of bigorty ***WARNING***

The first statewide gay marriage ban FAILED to pass in Arizona! Another great victory for the "gay agenda" ;-) Pima county (Tuscon metro area) saved the day as their 30K vote margin was the one defeating this measure. The Phoenix metro area (Maricopa county) barely defeated the measure, countering the votes from the rural areas.

The South Dakota measure came very close to a defeat, the 2nd best outcome for a gay marriage ban (Arizona being the #1). Quite possibly riding the coat-tails of the Abortion ban, which got 8% more votes, along with the "legalize marijuana" initiative which trailed gay marriage by about 8%. Very interesting... Apparently the abortion issue brought out liberal voters and women which tend to be more gay-friendly than insecure straight male pigs :-)

The domestic partnership measure came close but failed to pass in Colorado, a state famous by the super-bigotted liar deceiver and hypocrite Ted Haggard. Gay marriage was banned but by less than 60%. Similar percentages unfortunately in Wisconsin as well where gay marriage was banned in the high 50s. The margins were higher in the remaining (red) states.

This is great news as it looks like there may be a shift in the gay-marriage-ban wave, as now there is no guarantee that it will pass in traditionally-blue liberal states. And the defeat of the anti-abortion c.a. in South Dakota was also a major setback for the bigots who were planning to use this as a long-term plan to overthrow Roe v Wade.

As shown in the Senate races in Montana and Idaho, and in two dozen races for the House and many state/local races, every vote counts! So vote early, and vote often!

    Election Special Report!

    Predictions for the 2006 erection:

  • House: Democrats gain 26. They need 15 to get the majority
  • Senate: Demograts gain 4. They need 6 to get the majority.
  • Governators: Democrats gain 6. They need to get the "majority".

Major homophobe (and probably super-deep closet case) Rick Santorum is finally going to be voted out of office. He has been unable to poll anywhere about 40% with consistency and the strategy to put a very dry and vanilla opponent (but with recognizable name in the state) against him proved to be a genius one. Remember Santorum equated same-sex relationships to man-dog sex. Need I say more?

A big shoutout to the new hero of the gay, Mike Jones! Mike who? :-)

There is a strong possibility that some of the gay marriage ban initiatives may fail and that the Colorado domestic partner referendum may pass. Unless of course the Haggard scandal causes the evangelical/religious-extremists to "avenge" the outing of their lovely SUPER-BIGOT-LIAR-HYPOCRITE (Ted Haggard) by voting against both gay measures. Needless to say the Ted Haggard scandal may be a watershed moment that turns the tide against same-sex-marriage bans in the mind of the "average Joe with average IQ". But more on that after the election.

Also of interest in South Dakota is an attempt to reverse the restrictive abortion laws in order to avoid a showdown at the Supreme Court. And a couple of recreational marjuana measures just for fun!

More coming soon(er) or later ;-)
