The Gay Divide
Tuesday's election has shown that the Gay Divide is growing among red and blue states.
The rednecks and religious fanatics in Texas (75% of them) added bigotry and discrimination to their state's constitution by banning same-sex marriage. Well done rednecks. Next perhaps you should amend the constitution so you can marry your sisters, mothers and daughters. The 21st century is still waiting for y'all. Wake up!
On the other hand New England continues to support equality for all. The people of Maine rejected a proposition that would remove protections for LGBT peoplez. Well done Maine and New England!

Marriage is a religious institution and the government has no right to dictate what is and what is not marriage. The seperation of church and state applies here. The government has granted certian rights to those who are married. Those right should be granted to all, or no one. The church or what ever faith you follow or if you follow one decides what is and what is not marriage. For the government marriage should be nothing more than a contract between two people to share property.
