CD Review: REM / Around the Sun
One of the best REM CDs ever, even though this is rather mellow. There isn't a great song on the album, but it gets the high rating because it is very compact and flows through. Laid back and mellow. Bonus points for the Q-Tip song. Favorite song: "Final Straw"

What do you mean there isn't a great song? "The Outsiders" ranks as one of my favorite REM songs of all time. With the end verse by Q-Tip it is simply brilliant.

Oh I didn't phrase that properly. Another sign of old age. I can't find the right words!
I meant there isn't a song that stands head and shoulders above the rest like "losing my religion" did. I didn't mean they are not great songs :) It's like having an album of B songs with one A+ song, versus the "Around the sun" songs ranging from B to B+.
