RetroVision: short-lived comedy Action!

Someone's nickname reminded me a few minutes ago of the short-lived but very funny/entertaining/caustic/etc/etc comedy of a few years ago staring Jay Mohr. Jay Mohr played a movie producer Peter F*cking Dragon in "Action". Definately for mature audiences. Some episodes rerun on Comedy Central.

CD Review: REM / Around the Sun

One of the best REM CDs ever, even though this is rather mellow. There isn't a great song on the album, but it gets the high rating because it is very compact and flows through. Laid back and mellow. Bonus points for the Q-Tip song. Favorite song: "Final Straw"

Factor Rating: Strong buy

I have finally finalized my PhD thesis title. It is going to be: "A quantitative and qualitative analysis of trends in adult gay videos using artificial intelligence and other heuristic methodologies".

I am going to be very busy with this project as I have to go through a lot of research material and break down tape. A tough task but somebody has to do it :-)

The hot thug at 711

So I went to my local Seven Eleven (7-11) to get some unhealthy snacks the other night. Outside the 7-11 store there was a hot masc musc shaved-head inked flip faux-thug wearing a wife beater. I gave him a polite hello nod while walking by him, trying not to be rude or too obvious. He gave me a polite "sup" with his deep thuggish voice. I nodded and went in the store. There was so much good stuff inside the 711. Everything was 90% saturated fat or more! I picked up a few bags of cheetos and some chips and some sour onion dips and some guacamole and some chocolate and some sodas and some beers and some beef jerky and some muffins and some hot dogs and some ice-cream and some donuts and some twinkies and some krispy kreme and some nutella and some Frito Lays. So after I paid for my quick snacks I walked out of the store and passed by the hot faux-thug. I gave him another polite nod, and to my surprise not only he said "sup" but he also asked if I want to... [keyboard ran out of ink]

Sony went T33 crazy!

Now there's a T33 available in Hong Kong! Just so everyone is confused, there's T1, T11, T3 and T33 :)
Well done Sony :) (not that they are reading this)

CD Review: Morrissey/You Are the Quarry

This is the first of many CD Reviews here at the Factor.
Today's CD: Morrissey/You Are the Quarry

The lyrics are bitter, bitchy, jaded, caustic, and sarcastic.
The music is all about whine (not wine).
It even has some nice songs!
A must for Smiths/Morrissey fans, and bitter/jaded people :)

Factor Rating: Strong Buy

Firefox

I just installed Firefox for the first time ever! and so far I do like it :-) It hasn't crashed yet but I haven't opened 30 windows of it just yet :P

So on their website they accept donations, and one of the forms of payment is actually in GOLD! Yes, GoLD :-) There is a company (news to me) that is sort of like PayPal but the currency is Gold, not money. They also do it for other precious metals. The one i saw was e-gold.com. I'm gonna start a new payment service that uses Chocolate Chip Cookies as currency :-)

missed connection!

I saw you on 280! You were driving a Honda, or a Toyota - mybe it was a Ford. You were driving I think north-bound, maybe it was south-bound. I smiled at you and you smiled back. If you see this message, email me! :-)

A blog without poems?

A Blog is not a blog without poems! So without further ado here is my first Blog poem. Some may find this poem a bit cheesy but i'm not Kipling or Poe :)

I would walk a thousand miles for you
I would swim across the oceans
I would climb the highest mountains
Just for You

I would shed tears of joy
I would shed tears of pain
I would go round in circles
I would do anything
Just for You

I have a picture of you in my wallet
I think of you every day
I dream of you every night
my $3.99 frozen cheesecake
