Wow, more than two months and no new posts!
Wow! Two months without a new post! Wow! All apologies to the 1 reader reading this blog :)
I now promise (fingers crossed) to write at least once a week. There you go, I wrote one for this week ;-)
So let's play a game of fact or fiction now:
And now a medical update. If you are suffering from the Larry Craig Restless Foot syndrome be sure to talk your doctor about it! A diagnosis will help you not get arrested if your foot accidentally gets the attention of an undercover policeman in the stall next door ;-)

Researches have discovered the reason why gay men lift their pinkies so often, especially when they are drinking or eating. Contrary to popular belief this is not a learned behavior, but there is a biological reason! Scientists have found increased quantities of helium in gay men's pinkies and that is what causes them to go up! It's amazing what science can teach us!

The Voice
There is something about Wolf Blitzer's voice and tone, the sense of urgency that makes everything he says sound like the fate of the world depends on it. Pay attention to it next time you watch the Situation Room or see Wolf Blitzer on CNN.

Concert for Diana (July 1st, 2007)
Don't forget the Concert for Diana on July 1st, 2007, live from the new Wembley stadium in London, England. The concert will be broadcast live by a combination of MTV, VH1, and VH1 Classic in the USA!
Controversional segment!
Let us quickly revisit one of the hot button gay issues, the idolization of the "young, white, in-shape, male". At the risk of sounding like Captain Obvious, there is at-least one -ism hiding behind each one of those three "pre-requisites". But if you need an explanation, I will be happy to provide it. :-)

Outing the closeted gay politicians!
Mike Rogers is turning Capitol Hill into Brokeback Mountain according to this Yahoo People of the Web profile. (note: link has multimedia junk)...
You can read all about it as his blog, blogactive.com...
I hope he does not out conservative bloggers. I do not want to be on his list ;-)

Civil Unions signed into law in New Hampshire!
"Couples who enter civil unions will have the same rights, responsibilities and obligations as married couples. Same-sex unions from other states also would be recognized if they were legal in the state where they were performed".

Gay Rights and Gay Wrongs
In this brand new controversial segment, we will be looking at Gay Rights and Gay Wrongs!
Gay Rights: It is interesting that the majority of democratic Senators have the same official position on gay marriage as Papa Bear: civil unions. Who is Papa Bear? Papa Bear is Bill O'Reilly of the O'Reilly Factor and the Radio Factor.
Gay Wrongs: AARP RQs chasing half-agers.
Gay Rights: The general population has made progress. Rosie was drinking wine with another lesbian on webcam/blogcam, but most people did not complain about the lesbianism.
Gay Wrongs: Project Runway (ha!)

TV review: 1/2 hour newshour on Fox News
Fox News tried hard to come up with something similar to the Daily Show and the Colbert Report on Comedy Central. Part of that strategy was "Red Eye" airing at 11pm at night, but they wanted something more. So every Sunday night they have a 30-minute show called "1/2-hour Newshour", perhaps taking a shot at PBS' Newshour. Needless to say, PBS's Newshour contains more news in one hour than Fox News in a whole week. But that's a different story!
The 1/2-hour newshour is really more of an SNL Newsdesk than the Daily Show. They even have a Tina Fey-type woman sitting at the desk. The special correspondant they have are more like the Daily Show though... No attempts (yet) to come up with a Colbert-style personality.
To give the show some credibility, they even have a short segment with born-again conservative and Monday Night Football and MSNBC outcast Dennis Miller, a self-proclaimed libertarian (not conservative).
As usual with repressed sexuality Fox News types, the first two episodes had gay issues. The first one included a lesbian make-out session (almost) on the stage showing "inappropriate behavior at the office" with the Tina Fey clone getting "touched" by the in-studio guest... The 2nd episode had an in-studio male guest who had a crush on John Edwards and especially his $400 hairstyle.
But it's not all bad. They do have their funny moments, but they are nowhere near as good/funny as the Daily Show and the Colbert Report.
Needless to say they found a way to mention the French surrendering (to themselves this time).
